We went to the Singapore Zoological Gardens this morning and spent half a day there! Although I just visited the Zoo with the kids at my centre on 1st October, I didn't feel boring at all! Being with my family is a great feeling! The sun was rather hot, but it didn't spoil our spirits, especially darling Keane's! I had applied kids' sunscreen for him to prevent him from sunburnt!
I also ran into Meixiu, a friend whom I got to know during my NIE days. We were posted to teach in different Secondary schools but we continued to meet up and even went clubbing together! However we started to meet up less often after I left the sector and got married... Seriously I wouldn't have recognised her if she hadn't call me! She tied her hair into a bun and the way she dresses change; more 'cover' up. Anyway, I had also changed in appearance since I'm married and became a mum; more fleshy and aunty! Haha! Will invite her to darling Keane's birthday!
We left the Zoo around 5.20pm and headed to Novena Square for dinner. My parents gave my hubby a treat for his birthday. Ever since we got married, my parents will without give him a treat on his birthday and bought him stuffs at times. Hubby also told me that he could really feel my parents' concern for him... Well... Let's not disappoint them then...
Happy birthday to darling Keane's daddy!
Meixiu and me! Taken in 2005! It's good to be young!
Should have taken a new pic together when we ran into each other in the zoo!
Darling Keane pointing to the two fighting flamingoes.
The loud sound caught his attention.
Two fighting flamingoes.
Enjoying our lunch at the Splash Safari.
Looking at the pelican.
Since we did not bring a tripod and didn't want to trouble others to take a picture for us,
this is the only way to take a family picture together!
Waiting for the tram.
Keane,"Don't leave me alone with the ostrich!"
Ostrich egg!
King of the jungle - Lion is sleeping too!
"Mummy what is there a chain...?"
The Elephant Show!
The elephants greeted the audiences by splashing water on us!
Walking on the log.
Saying Hello.
Demonstrating how the elephant puts the trainer down.
What's the elephant doing with the hat?
Oh! She's wearing the hat for her trainer!
Demonstrating how the trainer goes up her body.
Great job!
Pushing the log into the river.
Team work.
This elephant flipping a heap of leaves.
The trainer explained this is their way of removing the dirt, sand, ants etc.
The elephant will then used it as a pillow for her head!
