This morning, my student Jay came over with a comrade to do home volunteering work for Scouts. I was shocked at first because I ever told him to give me advance notice the other time... As we were ahving lunch when they turned up at my doorstep, I asked them to come back 45 minutes later. I didn't make the boys do housework; just reading 2 books to darling Keane and played with him. To be honest, I was not really impressed with their performance and they only stayed for about 15 minutes... Jay politely told me that I could simply give 2 bucks (like the other families) and they will split among them, 1 buck each. However, knowing that they were doing a voluteery work for their CCA, and the fact that I was Jay's tutor, I should give slightly more. In the end, I decided to donate 5 bucks each.
Jay and his comrade Yu Han reading the book I assigned to Keane.
Jay, Lift up the book... Keane could not see!
Reading the 2nd book.
Slow down leh... more emotions leh...
Well... I know I should not expect that from students...
Sorry.
Darling Keane listened attentively.
So cute.
I wanted the boys to ask questions when they were done,
but they seemed shy...
So I asked instead.
But darling Keane didn't understand what was being read to him!
Nevermind, mummy will do it with you again!
I guessed playing will be easier?
They seemed awkward too!
However I could see Yu Hun was doing his best.
Jay received a call from his Scouts senior.
Taking a picture before they left.
Darling Keane said he wanted to be a scout when he grew up too.
Jay sayang Keane when he heard him. :)
Young man, it's still too early to say!
Focus on building up your foundation and character first. :)
