Remember I brought darling Keane for a free dental screening on 21 March? There were tartar on his inner lower teeth and a tiny hole on his upper right teeth...
Thereafter I check up the internet for kids dentists and pricings, ranging from polyclinics to dental clinics. The Kids Dentist (Camden Medical Centre) cutesy website caught my eyes. It is situated in Orchard and specialises in Kids Dentistry. However we decided to forgo it due to pricings and conveniency. I told hubby that after the free dental screening, I am sure that darling Keane will not freaked out at the sight of dentist and thus we can go for other options. Even so, we decided not to go to the polyclinic as it is afterall, darling Keane's 1st dental visit; we wants it to be a no fuss, not too long waiting time and an enjoyable dental visit for him.
After checking up and making enquiry calls, I went down to Raffles Dental Clinic at Tampines 1 yesterday 31 March. The lady told me matter-of-factly that they try not to do kids too young. She asked whether my son is obedient and cooperative. I replied firmly, "Yes." She then continued, "Ok. We'll try out first, if he kicks a fuss, we will refer him to Camden, the kids dentist." I told her I had checked up Camden but we decided that Keane will have no problem with dental visit and Tampines 1 is much more convenient. The lady smiled, "Ok then. We'll try out first. If he's ok, then it's good for you all! No need to spend so much on a specialist!" Finally, we set up an appointment at 2.30 pm with a motherly dentist Dr Joyce Mary Boudeville the next day, i.e. today, 1 April. :)
Uploaded some pictures. Enjoy!
Getting ready!
Checking his teeth.
Showing darling Keane his tartar... :(
Both hubby and I stood there to root for him.
Removing tartar and cleaning his teeth.
Rinse his mouth.
Dr Joyce Mary told darling Keane that she's going to perform a 'magic',
where pink filling becomes white.
Filling up the tiny hole.

Kind of creative, isn't it?
Conclusion: Dr Joyce Mary told us that darling Keane may needs braces when he's older as his face frame is small... But that will wait till he's 12 and adult teeth is fully grown... Darling Keane's 1st dental appointment went on very smoothly and we were happy with Dr Joyce Mary and her assistant. We would certainly go back to her after 6 month. Darling Keane makes us very proud too. :)
After that, we went to Manduku for dinner to celebrate my birthday. :)
