In view of tomorrow's Children's Day, SK will be having a mini Games Day. Parents are encouraged to make shakers or pom pom with their kids, and urged us to be creative.
I had taught the kids at Salvation Army Childcare how to make maracas 2 years back. This time I'm going to make them with darling Keane. But I had to do most of the work as he's still young. :)
Today a parent commented how much I had recorded details of Keane's growing up. In fact, this is not the first time that people tells me how "free" I am to keep a blog! Some also said, "Well, one (kid) ok lar... if u have two (kids), then not possible!"
Hmm... I wasn't offended, but I bet to differ. Even if I have two kids, or more, I would definitely still keep a blog of my children. No doubt I will be busier having to give attention to two kids, I believe that if I really want, recording details of my children will not be an impossible task. Besides, I can simply record both together; the kids sharing a blog. Good memory for the siblings!
I remembered coming across a mum who keeps a blog for her son. A second child came along after 4 years, and she added new details of her 2nd child in her eldest son's blog. The point I'm trying to make, is, nothing is impossible if one make up one's mind, especially if it's a present you meant to give your child/children. This blog is precisely a present and memory keepsake for my son and me.
With camera in handphone, we can now take pictures and videos of our kids anytime, anywhere. Once you get the format and layout started, uploading the pictures to a blog or Facebook is easy and not very time consuming, provided you upload and update them everyday. As I said, if it is a present and memory keepsake, surely finding time to upload the pictures is not at all difficult.
I must admit though, I haven't been updating his blog as regularly as before. I simply uploaded the pics/videos to my laptop and sort them according to dates and drafts. I will then updated his blog at a later date... It wasn't because I'm tired of maintaining this blog, but because I'm hooked on games for the past 2 months... Bad eh... I know. I'm making adjustments now, and had stopped playing most games. This blog is definitely more important than computer games! And the root reason is, I love my son. This blog shall be my present for him.
