Darling Keane looked into every holes and tell me what he saw. :)
Keane waited for almost 30 minutes before he gets to play this memory matching game.
Not long after that, 2 girls (in primary school) came over and told Keane, "Excuse me." They grabbed the stools and squeezed Keane out of the game!
Darling looked at them, not knowing what to do... (Earlier at the playstation at the restaurant, Keane was also being pushed by a group of boys when he was playing the wheels... Keane simply stood one side and waited for the boys to move away... I felt really hurt and angry, but I chose to observe how Keane behaved then, and did not intervene in his play...) Now that a similar thing happened, I could no longer contain my anger and thus I told the girls off, "He's in the midst of the game, how can you asked him to excuse himself? If you want to play, please queue up." Their mum heard me and told me that it's just kids playing, and that I need not take it to heart.
I told her, "There were kids playing before my son too, and he waited 30 minutes for his turn. t's not about kids playing or what. It's about courtesy! They could have asked my son if they could join in and not squeezed him out of the game!"
The mother looked offended but she did not rebutt, instead she grabbed her girls and walked away.
After he finished his memory game, I told darling Keane that while it was right to share, what happened earlier at the playstation and the memory game was wrong. He must learn to protect himself and not allow himself to be pushed or bullied. However, I was glad that he did not cry or hit them. I told him that if similar things happened, he must tell daddy and mummy or the teachers if it happened in school.
Call me protective, I don't care.
He is still too young to protect himself, and it's my duty to protect him, my darling son.
I love this picture.
Candid!
"Mummy, how tall am I?"
Bedtime!
We talked about what we did in the day (Ikea) and sang songs before we sleep.
